Irfan holds a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University (2013) as well as a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Calgary (2010). He was part of the first cohort to complete the Canadian Physiotherapy Association’s Pain Science Mentorship Program (2016).
Irfan has experience working with a wide variety of clientele, including developing athletes, weekend warriors, people living with chronic pain and other chronic conditions, and members of the Canadian Armed Forces. He uses an individualized approach to assessment and treatment, and his continually expanding skill set includes dry needling, various forms of joint mobilizations and soft tissue techniques, creating customized exercise programs, and taping.
Irfan believes that client education is an integral component of injury rehabilitation and prevention. He uses this to empower individual clients, and facilitate group seminars.
He has also served as a mentor to upwards of 25 students and other medical professionals.
