MPT, BKin, CAFCI, Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, Dry Needling Certified

Jill always knew that she wanted to work in health care. After being able to work as a trainer for the track and field team while completing her Kinesiology degree, she knew Physiotherapy was the path for her. She graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2011 with a Masters of Physical Therapy.

One of the things Jill loves most about her profession is that the learning never stops. Since graduation, she has attained certification for Acupuncture through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada (CAFCI) and Functional Dry Needling through KinetaCore. She continues to take courses to advance her Manual Therapy skills. She has an interest in women’s health and has completed additional pelvic health training to be able to treat conditions including pelvic pain, urinary and fecal incontinence, and prolapse. She has completed training in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and is certified in performing the Functional Movement Screen (FMS).

Jill’s main goal as a Physiotherapist is to combine hands-on treatment with corrective exercises to enable clients to move better and return to what they love to do. She has always strives to work with clients to help them reach their goals, whatever they may be. She enjoys the challenge of treating existing injuries as well as working to optimize movement as a means of injury prevention.

After working for nearly 5 years in Saskatchewan, Jill decided to move to Alberta. Being closer to the mountains has restored her love for skiing, snowboarding and hiking. She will jump at any opportunity to get outside and enjoy the mountain views. In the summer Jill loves spending time water skiing, fishing and watching sunsets at the lake. She fills her time outside worth with yoga, reading and trying out new recipes.
