Renee is a longstanding member of the Fifth Avenue Physiotherapy team with 20 years of clinical experience. Upon graduating with distinction from the University of Saskatchewan in 1995, she worked for two years in the United States before settling in Calgary. Since that time she has worked in a variety of clinical settings and taught spinal stability classes. She has completed numerous postgraduate courses including certification in Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation, Manual and Manipulative Therapy, soft tissue and fascial release, spinal stability and running injury and prevention. In 2002 she achieved the highest level of Manual Therapy certification, becoming a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy. Renee uses a combination of her hands-on Manual Therapy techniques, specific exercise prescription and Intramuscular Stimulation to treat a variety of sport, work and motor vehicle related injuries. She believes that involving clients and providing education are the key to a successful rehabilitation. During her personal time, Renee likes to spend time with her family, workout, run, ski and enjoy a variety of outdoor activities.
