Physio Services

NEW UPDATES

Effective June 14, 2022, Alberta moved into phase 3 of its 3-step plan to lift health restrictions that were put in place to manage the spread of COVID-19. Moving into phase 3 means all remaining health restrictions were lifted. Isolation is recommended but is no longer mandatory for individuals with signs or symptoms of COVID-19 or with a positive test result. What does this mean for Fifth Ave Physiotherapy and our patients?

VIRTUAL APPOINTMENTS
We are still offering virtual physiotherapy for those who may not be feeling well or don’t want to come downtown for in-person visits. All of our therapists will continue to offer virtual appointments.

PATIENTS
Masking is now optional for patients  We no longer have patients complete a COVID screener, but still ask that you reschedule your appointment or switch to virtual physiotherapy if you’re feeling unwell.

CONSIDERATIONS WHEN ATTENDING YOUR APPOINTMENT
Please attend your appointment on time. In order for us to allow time for the sanitization of surfaces, it is very important for us to remain on schedule

WHAT WE DO TO KEEP YOU SAFE
Fifth Ave Physio adheres to best practices of infection prevention and control which includes

PPE
All staff with the exception of administrators will wear procedure masks. Masks are to be changed if wet or soiled and used for a maximum of one shift.
Hand hygiene is recognized as the single most important practice to help break the chain of transmission and is thus a implemented a practiced procedure for all staff.

SANITATION
